Provides professional ecological advice and services focusing on biodiversity and nature conservation science and information.

The Senior Scientific Officer - Bioregional Planning provides professional ecological advice and services contributing to efforts to deliver regional planning that aligns with the Commonwealth Government's Nature Positive Agenda and state development initiatives, focusing on biodiversity and conservation priorities.

The role will develop and maintain effective partnerships both within and outside the Agency, to deliver discrete knowledge management (including environmental information product development and application of corporate GIS capabilities and environmental databases) and undertake quantitative ecological modelling and data analytics to inform regional planning, and biodiversity and nature conservation science and information.
