About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer to Guide planning and implementation of the hawkweed delimitation on NPWS estate, including applying modelling tools to enable adaptive management of plans annually and support other Branch priority weed programs objectives as required.

Undertake data analysis, using various information systems, including GIS, to collate data and report on planning and operation activities; interpret hawkweed program spatial and non-spatial data and information.

About you

Your passion for the environment, coupled with a strong attention to detail and proficiency in project management and procurement will be key to your success in this role. You will possess strong critical thinking and communication skills which allow you to identify risks and make good decisions. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to work with stakeholders to achieve program and project outcomes whilst exercising sound judgement and discretion.

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake field work.
