The Mallee Catchment Management Authority (Mallee CMA) is seeking an experienced professional to support the planning, implementation and reporting of targeted works aiming to conserve the region’s threatened species and communities.

Working as part of a highly motivated and skilled team, the Senior Project Officer - Biodiversity is integral to ensuring that projects funded under Government initiatives are delivered in accordance with investor requirements and regional priorities.

The successful candidate will require practical knowledge of the critical factors associated with successfully managing complex projects; including demonstrated skills in contract management, ecological data collection/analysis, and performance monitoring/reporting, and stakeholder engagement processes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the role representing a key contact for agency and community-based delivery partners.  

The position requires tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (or equivalent level of industry knowledge), and a minimum of four years’ experience in a natural resource management (NRM) or similar role.

The position is available on a full-time basis and flexible working hours are available. This role is classified at Band 8 in accordance with the Mallee CMA Enterprise Agreement and the salary range is $83,970 - $92,731, plus superannuation, negotiable dependent upon skills and experience.
