We're a small “one person band” consulting firm experiencing a massive influx of exciting projects and have plenty more in the pipeline.

We leverage the most advanced tools to deliver innovative solutions to complex water-related challenges. We work with local, regional and state governments, renewable developers, residential builders and civil designers, and we sub-contract for larger organisations. We’re looking for a self-starter who can embrace our technology first approach and assist with delivering external projects as well as internal system processes.

Role:

Part-time to Full-time role, depending on experience and capacity.

Your role will involve:

  • Writing project proposals and tender bids.
  • Developing and optimising hydrologic and hydraulic flood models.
  • Compiling the best available processes to streamline detailed reviews.
  • Utilising AI and coding to build flood models and advance process driven outcomes.
  • Contributing to the formalisation of internal processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Assisting in building (with the potential to lead) a team into the future.

Requirements for the role:

  • Flood Engineer with 2 to 5 years’ experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the following: TUFLOW, RORB, and QGIS. SOURCE. RAFTS and HEC-RAS are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in preparing Flood Impact Assessment and Flood Risk Management Plans.
  • Proven track record delivering high quality solutions and project outcomes.
  • A detail-oriented understanding of the intricacies of the specific flood modelling platforms.
  • A keen interest in building, running, and analysing results from hydrologic, and hydraulic models.
  • A keen interest in all aspects of projects, including project management, client relationships, community consultation, research and development and site visits.
  • An interest in AI, and coding (particularly python).
  • A ‘can do’ attitude.
