Sensand offers the world’s first all-in-one digital agriculture ecosystem, linking the latest smart farming and land management technologies with a transparent carbon credit trading platform.

Our mission is to enable all land management to be sustainable, productive, and profitable. We are a Tier 1 partner to the One Basin CRC, and beginning our product launch to market. In this phase, we are looking for a business development manager with extensive agriculture experience to support our growth and project initiatives within the Australian agriculture sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Acquisition

Identify and target potential new clients to support the business in generating sales, and build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and new market entry strategies.

  • Partner Management

At Sensand, we’re a Tier 1 partner in the One Basin CRC. We are looking for a primary point of contact to manage our relationships with the CRC, partners, and manage our projects within the CRC.

You will also be responsible as a point of contact for future project-based relationships, managing our team internally and bringing together product, engineering, and marketing where necessary to deliver on key responsibilities.

  • Drive Product Insights

Regularly report on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives to the leadership team and the broader company.

Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments, making contributions to product development and the product roadmap.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years in agribusiness, agronomy, agricultural advisory (or similar) is essential, including experience working with landholders or in the land sector.
  • Experience in agribusiness or agriculture sales, business development and/or stakeholder management is necessary.
  • Business, agriculture, environmental science, animal science, agronomy, or similar tertiary qualifications are desirable, but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-focused approach and a track record of meeting sales targets.
