  • Temporary full-time position for up to 3-years until June 30 2027.

About the role

This role demands an adaptable and resourceful individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. You'll be a skilled communicator, negotiator, and data analyst, all rolled into one! This role involves:

  • Deliver the Annual Work Plan for the MACH Energy - Strategic Weeds Program.
  • Provide expert advice and extension services, empowering farmers to optimise land health and agricultural productivity.
  • Analyse information and environmental data, providing insightful reports and recommendations to address land management challenges.
  • Build strong partnerships with farmers, stakeholders and community groups, fostering a collaborative approach to environmental stewardship.
  • Negotiate solutions to complex natural resource issues, ensuring all stakeholders are heard and solutions are sustainable.
  • Support emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery efforts to safeguard the region

What you need

We're seeking someone who:

  • Is a Highly motivated with expertise in agriculture, environment, and natural resource management.
  • Holds a degree in agricultural, environmental, natural resource management, biosecurity or emergency management
  • Has their current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel

Additional Information:

The successful applicant in this role may be required to undergo a police check, health assessment and other assessments as required.

A recruitment pool may be created for ongoing and temporary roles of the same role or role type that may become available for filling over the next eighteen months.
