Twenty-five years ago Nepabunna was successful in starting Australia’s first official Indigenous Protected Area at Nantawarrina in the beautiful Northen Flinders Ranges in South Australia. The station property was degraded and we were able to take over management. With the help of the IPA program, and using our knowledge, we were able to restore the land and ever since, things have been improving there, for the flora and fauna. We are proud of that.  We have just celebrated Nantiwarrina’s 25 years as an IPA and we are looking forward to continuing to improve and nurture this special place.

Our Organisation

Nipapanha Community Aboriginal Corporation is responsible for the management of all programs and services to the community of Nipapanha (Nepabunna) in South Australia.
