Role Description:

This is a full-time casual position, on ground role for a field technician located in the Adelaide Hills. As a field technician you will be responsible for performing various weed control operations, fire mitigation works and native vegetation management. This includes working as part of a team to effectively complete conservation outcomes for a range of clients from Government through to Private.

Initially there is a probation period of 3 months.

As per the Gardening/Landscaping award the hourly rate is $28.50/hour as a base rate, with opportunity for this to increase with experience and also over time.

Back 2 Bush operates Monday to Friday and work an 8-hour day, hours can be flexible and we can accommodate study timetables and/or family commitments.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a field technician or related role.
• Strong technical skills: Knowledge of weed control techniques, Native plant and weed identification skills, Herbicide usage, Brush cutting experience
• Excellent work ethic and the ability to work within a team.
• Good communication skills and customer liaison skills.
• Valid Drivers' licence and willingness to travel.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or training in Land Conservation management, horticulture or similar.
