About the role

What will make us a great match

The Executive Assistant we are looking for will need to provide a high level of administrative support to the Managing Director and other executives as required to facilitate efficiencies and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Specifically, we are looking for:

  • Someone who can provide high level assistance and support to the Managing Director.
  • Can maintain and monitor the Managing Director's workflow, identifying priorities and deadlines. In conjunction with the Managing Director, exercise discretion in committing time and evaluating needs.
  • Coordinates leadership and key meetings including the coordination and preparation of agendas and minutes and meeting logistics.
  • Act as the point of contact between executives, employees, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Someone who maintains administration procedures and documents as required.
  • Demonstrate effective and positive people leadership, which is ethical, results driven and encourages high productivity.
  • Identify areas within processes and systems for continuous improvement (such as efficiencies and cost savings) and work with other key stakeholders to execute changes.
  • Calendar and diary management.
  • Arrange travel, itinerary, accommodation, and events as required.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse and produce effective business reports and financials.
  • Ability to deal with pressure and sensitive situations and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to travel across the state on a regular basis .
  • Current NSW, QLD, or VIC driver's license.
  • Current First Aid Certificate .
  • 5-7 years' experience in Executive Assistance roles.
  • Degree/undergraduate degree in administration, business, or equivalent experience.

Prior to joining Niche, Ian was the Chief Operating Officer of Greening Australia and Managing Director of Canopy, Australia's largest carbon reforestation company. Combined with an international career with mining companies such as BHP, South32 and Old Castle, Ian has gained practical insight into the land, resources, energy, and agricultural sectors and has honed an exceptional ability to identify and develop natural capital projects through environmental markets.
