About the Role

We have some great ecological restoration projects that are both large scale and long term and so we are seeking Bush Regeneration Supervisors in Central Queensland, specifically across Rockhampton and Gladstone.

You will contribute to the recovery of a range of sites containing a diversity of ecosystem types. You will have the opportunity to apply a range of restoration approaches within old growth ecosystems. The aim of ecological restoration projects is to restore the health, integrity, diversity and resilience of vegetation and habitat. You will be directly linked with this process by applying regular weed control while also carrying out other tasks such as planting.

About You

As a Bush Regeneration Supervisor, you will have:

• A minimum of Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (Natural Area Restoration) or equivalent (e.g Bachelor's Degree) and experience.
• Experience leading team members in the field.
• A passion for ecological restoration and the environment.
• Strong Central Queensland plant identification skills - native and exotic across a range of ecosystems.
• Experience applying a range of different ecological restoration approaches.
• Experience in revegetation practices.
• A high level of physical fitness.
• A commitment to safe work practices and a willingness to promote Ecosure's safety culture.
• Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Manual Drivers Licence + 4WD.

Overall, the following skills and attributes would be highly regarded:

• Cert IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management.
• Chemcert or ACDC certification.
• MR Licence.
• First Aid/CPR.
• Chainsaw ticket.
• Previous experience working on a mine or construction site and thorough understanding of safety procedures required.
• Experience working in and navigating around remote working areas.
