About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service is seeking a Principal Project Officer to coordinate and deliver Feral Animal Management programs and activities across NPWS parks and reserves.
As the Principal Project Officer, you will lead a geographically dispersed team while being accountable for supporting the coordinated delivery of high-quality programs. You will ensure policies and guidelines for the safe, humane, and effective use of firearms and other pest control and ecological management programs are in place and complied with.
You will manage politically and environmentally sensitive issues to gain acceptance for programs which may be seen to be controversial by stakeholders with strong and often opposing views and implementing innovative solutions to address complex and sensitive issues.
