The Fitzgerald Biosphere Group (FBG) is seeking a new Executive Officer/Project Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to work in a small team of passionate individuals within a progressive farming community in the Shire of Jerramungup on the beautiful South Coast of WA.

The EO role is 0.6 FTE and the Project Coordinator role is 0.4FTE.

The person taking on this position will undertake EO duties including the day-to-day governance, human resource, financial and project management. They will also be involved in strategic planning, project development, sourcing funds, delivering some of the current program and supporting staff.

The role is based in the Shire of Jerramungup, with flexible work conditions available for the right person. Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and to successfully build and nurture relationships will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will also require strong attention to detail, leadership skills, strategic and critical thinking, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Renumeration is negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications. An indicative desired salary range can be included in your application.

Key duties:

• Lead a small team of project officers and support staff .
• Source funding to fulfil the group's objectives.
• Develop and implement new projects.
• Along with project staff, coordinate and manage all aspects of the group's activities, services and operations.
• Along with the finance officer, maintain and coordinate sound financial management practices both for the group and projects.
• Along with the communications officer and project staff, oversee the marketing and communications of the group to its members, key partners and industry stakeholders.
• Effectively manage all staff relations and maintain appropriate HR and WHS management policy and practices.

FBG is a proud grass-roots Natural Resource Management/Grower Group that has managed both farming systems and natural resource management projects since its inception in 2002. We operate in the western part of the Fitzgerald Biosphere. We are a well-organised and resourced mixed farming grower group with a focus on sustainable farming systems, healthy ecosystems and vibrant local communities. Member-led and managed, the group aims to achieve economic, social and environmental sustainability throughout the Shire of Jerramungup.
