Our Manly Hydraulics Laboratory team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer (Water Modeller) to deliver a range of flood, hydrological and hydraulic modelling projects. In this role, you will work with junior staff members to lead the completion of larger projects, as well as assist clients with enquiries and contribute to promoting the services of the laboratory.
About the Role
As the Senior Engineer, you will carry out and manage a range of professional advisory and technical projects and services to deliver high quality and innovative client outcomes including time, cost and quality.
The Senior Engineer also contributes to the financial and long-term business viability by delivering high quality technical solutions and services in a focused driven and effective manner and leads the development of innovative technologies and processes to support optimum solutions in client delivery.
About You
You will have proven extensive experience delivering water numerical and physical modelling projects on time and on budget with competing priorities. You will also have strong customer service and relationship building skills, and a dedication to providing exceptional client service at all times.
You will have strong hydraulic and coastal physical modelling experience, TUFLOW hydraulic modelling experience, hydrological modelling experience, and be familiar with ARR19. Experience in Python Scripting, GIS, MIKE-FLOOD, eWater Source, coastal engineering and an ability to swim will also be advantageous.
