About the role 

This position is field-based and involves working as part of our local restoration teams. The successful applicant will deliver bush regeneration and revegetation projects. Activities will include herbicide application, manual weed work, erosion control and revegetation.

Location: Gold Coast Region

Contract: Casual – multiple positions available across our region

Essential Criteria 

  • Certificate in Conservation & Ecosystem Management or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience or equivalent voluntary experience 
  • Physically fit, motivated and capable of working in challenging outdoor environments
  • Good communicator, effective at working independently and as part of a team 
  • Understanding and ability to follow WHS policies and procedures
  • Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment 
  • Qualifications in Conservation and Ecosystem management/ OR higher education
  • Reliable transport to be on time on site at 630am to 3pm daily.
  • White card- Construction industry OH&S
  • Proven experience working with weed control, bushland maintenance and bush regeneration and native plant identification relevant to Southeastern Australia.

  • Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
  • How many years' experience do you have as a Bush Regenerator?
  • Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?
  • Do you hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)?
  • Have you worked in a role which requires experience with land rehabilitation methods? (e.g. bush regeneration)
  • Have you completed a qualification in conservation and land management?
  • Do you have an agricultural chemicals distribution control licence?

Selected candidates are required to provide proof of right to work in Australia and undertake a criminal record check.
