Young people make invaluable contributions to communities, we are committed to empowering young people’s involvement in decisions and issues that affect them.

The Associate Board Member position will provide a young person the opportunity to gain practical experience and provide pathways to youth representation on Victorian public sector Boards into the future.

They will offer an independent perspective to the Board on a range of issues including environmental management, water management and land management.

We are looking for someone with: 

  • A passion for the environment. 
  • Ability to enquire and offer different perspectives. 
  • The capacity to dedicate time and energy to the role. 

The Board meets 10 times per year on the first Tuesday of the month, and twice a year take field tours of catchment. There will also be opportunities to participate in cultural activities.

You don’t need to have prior experience on Boards, professional development and mentoring will be provided. If you’re a young person between the ages of 18 and 34 please apply, we will give you priority consideration as per the special measures provision of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010
