Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare (CHRL) is seeking a part-time Landcare Project Officer to manage new and existing projects, ensuring quality delivery and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the Project Officer will support the growth and strategic direction of CHRL by leading the identification, development, and resourcing of new projects and initiatives in natural resource management. This includes proactively researching grant opportunities, building partnerships, and creating ready-to-launch projects.

Location: Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare Office/Field.

Salary range: $42.81 - $43.89 per hour plus super (dependent on experience).

Main Role and responsibilities include:

Project Management

• Manage budgets, contractors, materials, and communications across project lifecycles.
• Liaise with landholders, volunteers, indigenous groups, and government partners to ensure inclusive and collaborative delivery.
• Report to funding bodies and CHRL Executive Committee, providing regular updates and evaluations.
• Organise and facilitate events, workshops, and field days to support project outcomes and community engagement.
• Deliver assigned projects efficiently, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time and on budget.

Project Development

Maintain a pipeline of well-developed, 'shovel-ready' projects to position CHRL for timely funding opportunities (as outlined in attached 'CHRL Strategic Program Development - Project Officer Brief (July-June 2026)').

• Identify, design, and scope innovative, fundable projects aligned with CHRL's Strategic Plan and community priorities.
• Build and maintain a robust understanding of funding landscapes, cycles, and trends across government, philanthropic, and private sectors.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with funding agencies, stakeholders, and potential collaborators.
• Lead the preparation and submission of compelling grant and funding applications, in consultation with the CHRL team and partners.
• Develop project proposals, budgets, and timelines with a focus on impact, feasibility, and alignment with strategic goals.
