Welcome

The Wise Water Ways Workshop offers people the opportunity to gather, discuss and learn from a wide range of Australian and overseas waterways experts, researchers and managers. Many of the workshop speakers present new research findings and developments, and offer their first hand experience in stream management.

The first Wise Water Ways Workshop held in 1999 followed a visit by internationally recognised fluvial geomorphologist, Dr Robert Newbury, who led a hands on field training program into water ways management. The Wise Water Ways Workshop has been held annually ever since.  Now in its 25th year, the Wise Water Ways Workshop has delivered programs and shared knowledge with over 900 participants.

Each year, the Wise Water Ways Committee invites specialist researchers in water quality, macroinvertebrate and fish, as well as practical onground managers, to engage with participants and present their most recent findings at the five day workshop.

Wise Water Ways Committee thanks all the high calibre speakers who donate their time in order to achieve the very best practice in waterways management.

Kind regards
