About You

We are seeking several Environmental Impact Assessment Practitioners – a Graduate/Advisor position and a Senior Advisor position.

Demonstrated experience of 2-10 years in the environmental impact assessment field is essential.

This role requires Australian Citizenship and ability to hold a Baseline Security Clearance.

Key responsibilities

As a member of a growing and dynamic team, the Environmental Impact Assessment Practitioners will support the Director of Environmental Impact Assessment and broader team to deliver high quality advice and deliverables to our clients.

Selection Criteria includes:

• A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, Ecology or a related field
• Demonstrated experience for 2-10 years in the impact assessment field, in consulting, government or industry.
• Demonstrated experience in delivery of environmental impact assessments (EIA).
• Applicants for Senior Advisor role must demonstrate experience in planning, coordination, and development of EIAs, and sound practical application of impact assessment theory.
• EPBC Act experience is required for Senior Advisor applicants, preferred for Graduate/Advisor applications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication for distilling complex technical data into accessible formats.

Working arrangements

At Aestra, we primarily work remotely, so it is essential that you have a dedicated office space where you can comfortably work from home. Working arrangements differ between contracts, and you will need to be able to work flexibly as required, including at times as an embedded officer within client teams.
