Help grow Australia's citizen science movement for fungi.

Fungimap is Australia's leading citizen science organisation dedicated to fungi. Since 1996, we've inspired thousands of Australians to discover, document and protect one of the world's most overlooked kingdoms of life through citizen science, education, collaboration and advocacy.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised National Coordinator to bring our 2026-2030 Strategic Plan to life.

Working closely with our Management Committee, volunteers, members and partners, you'll coordinate projects, grow membership, support fundraising, strengthen communications and contribute to fungal conservation across Australia.

About the role

This diverse role includes:

• Coordinating implementation of Fungimap's Strategic Plan 
• Supporting membership growth and volunteer engagement 
• Coordinating fundraising, grants and partnerships 
• Managing communications, events and member engagement 
• Supporting citizen science projects, including the Great Aussie Fungi Hunt 
• Ensuring effective administration and governance.

About you

You'll be an organised and proactive communicator who enjoys working with people and turning ideas into action.

Ideally you'll have experience in project coordination, community engagement, fundraising, communications or the not-for-profit sector, along with a genuine interest in biodiversity, citizen science or environmental conservation.

Knowledge of fungi is welcome, but not essential.
