About the role:
We are seeking a collaborative leader with strong scientific expertise who can build and maintain partnerships, identify and pursue new opportunities, drive innovation across our programs, and contribute to the growth of our organisational culture as a member of our leadership team.
This pivotal role is leading the delivery of one of our longest-running and most significant conservation programs, protecting and conserving the wetlands and floodplains of SA's River Murray, and the species that depend on them. The role leads a small team of freshwater ecologists across multiple locations, providing strategic leadership for environmental water planning, project delivery, monitoring, resourcing and infrastructure management.
The Team Leader, Wetland and Floodplain Management works closely with a wide range of stakeholders, environmental groups, contractors and agencies to develop and deliver projects.

Our Wetlands and Floodplain Management team is committed to delivering significant outcomes for the species and environments they manage through integrated environmental watering programs.
Drawing on extensive technical expertise and established partnerships, the team works collaboratively with landholders, community groups, First Nations, state and federal agencies, and other stakeholders across South Australia and interstate.
This program works alongside a range of delivery teams, including terrestrial biodiversity, pest animal and plant control, and sustainable land and water management, with support from corporate program areas to deliver high standard outcomes for the region.
