The Landcare Association of South Australia Inc. (LASA) is seeking a State Landcare Coordinator to work directly with members and the Landcare community across the state, building capacity and supporting on-ground environmental outcomes.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, community-focused role - and the primary field-facing position within LASA. You’ll be the main point of contact for members and the Landcare community across South Australia, supporting Landcarers to deliver projects, access funding, and strengthen their impact.

You will:

  • Work closely with Landcare groups across the state, travelling regularly to connect in person
  • Deliver training, workshops, and capacity-building activities
  • Support grant applications, reporting, and funding opportunities
  • Administer LASA’s financial assistance and insurance package, including small grants and member insurance
  • Build strong partnerships across community, government, and industry
  • Contribute to LASA’s communications, strategic direction, and reporting
  • Support engagement and growth of LASA membership

This role is part of the Care for Landcare Program, supporting grassroots environmental action across the state.

About You

You are:

  • Community-minded, with a strong member-focused approach
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Experienced working with volunteers, community groups, or stakeholders
  • A confident communicator with strong written skills
  • Comfortable with grants administration, reporting, and financial program coordination
  • Able to work independently and build strong relationships

Experience in Landcare, natural resource management, agriculture, community development or volunteer management is highly regarded.
