Work with a range of stakeholders and landholders to manage natural resources through a whole of landscape approach

• Regional position in the Upper Limestone Coast region of SA
• Operational role to manage pest species
• Work closely with stakeholders including land managers and the community

As a Landscape Officer, you will increase community and landholder understanding, acceptance and adoption of programs for the management of pest species. You will collect, record and interpret information on declared pest animal and plant infestations and undertake control actions. This will involve working across diverse land tenures with a wide range of stakeholders including private landholders, roadsides, community groups, industry and contractors.

Special Conditions:

• Position is based at Keith.
• A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is essential.
• Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Will have the opportunity to participate in fire management or associated duties.
• Some out of hours work and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home may be required.
• Required to hold or be willing to obtain a full pest management technician's licence.
• Required to undertake identified training to be appointed as an Authorised Officer under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.
• Required to work alone in a field environment, including working in adverse weather conditions from time to time.
• Required to participate in the LC Landscape Board's Performance Development and Review Program.
