About the role:

Our continual growth has presented us with an exciting opportunity for a Contract Supervisor to  join our team based out of Townsville. As Supervisor you will assist the Operations Manager and  other Supervisors in delivery of all Centrogen North QLD and Central QLD based contracts. This  role will require excellent time management skills to be able to balance the different competing  requirements. This role is based out of Centrogen Townsville depot, however, will require extensive  travel to Rockhampton between April and October. 

The key responsibilities of this position will be:  

• Assist Operations Manager in all areas of contracts, from initial pricing through to crew/job  setup and delivery. 
• Undertaking safety audits for Centrogen crews and addressing any non-conformances
• Managing client enquiries and complaints, and maintaining accurate registers and  records 
• Scheduling and allocating work to maximise efficiency, quality and compliance
• Providing day-to-day supervision and leadership to crews 
• Working on the tools alongside crews as required 
• Ensuring safety standards, company policies and safe work practices are understood and  adhered to 
• Driving a safe, productive, and positive work culture 
• Providing on-the-job training, coaching and support to crew members 
• Conducting toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and safety briefings 
• Monitoring work quality and ensuring works are delivered to specification and on time
• Preparing basic reports on progress, issues and incidents for management
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders as required

About you:

• Experienced in supervising teams and driving results
• Experience using Microsoft suite
• Determined in your approach and have a proven commitment to safety
• White Card, ACDC, Defence pass (advantageous)
• Open manual drivers licence (required) 
• Experience in hazard reduction burning 
• Experience in the vegetation management industry  
• Able to pass any pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol testing 
• Willing to undertake all roles in the vegetation crew including hazard reduction burns, mowing, brush cutting, herbicide application and tractor slashing.
