Stretching from the Pilbara in the south to the Northern Territory border in the east, the Kimberley Region protects and manages more than 3.8 million hectares of land and water on behalf of the Western Australian community. This vast and culturally rich landscape includes some of the State’s most iconic destinations, such as Purnululu National Park, Bandilngan (Windjana Gorge), Danggu (Geikie Gorge) and Tunnel Creek National Park.

We are currently seeking a Ranger – West Kimberley to join our dedicated team. This role works across the West Kimberley terrestrial parks, with a strong focus on Bandilngan (Windjana Gorge).

Working here offers a rare opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a challenging and rewarding environment, where conservation, visitor safety, and cultural values intersect. The role is well suited to someone who thrives in remote field‑based work and values being part of a team caring for Country in one of Western Australia’s most extraordinary natural settings.

Under the immediate direction of the Senior Ranger, this position:

  • Undertakes all aspects of operations in the West Kimberley Terrestrial Parks, including provision of high quality visitor interpretation, collecting and checking entry and camping fees and handling public monies.
  • Carries out programmed operational activities and field logistical support within the West Kimberley Terrestrial Parks including maintenance and servicing of facilities and infrastructure, visitor control, providing information to visitors and the delivery of conservation programs as directed.
