Your Responsibilities:

• Endangered species monitoring and research
• Flora and fauna surveys
• Habitat creation and protection
• Mowing and grounds maintenance
• Participate in cultural burning
• Pest animal and weed control
• Rubbish clean-ups and surveys
• Tree planting
• Youth engagement, mentoring, and education

The projects we are involved in are varied and include both terrestrial and aquatic operations. No two days are the same – you might be operating out of a boat monitoring endangered shorebirds one day and climbing trees to install habitat boxes the next.

About You:

We're looking for enthusiastic and driven team players who are passionate about the outdoors and eager to take this opportunity by the horns.

This is a physically active role suited to candidates of all genders who are fit, enjoy working outdoors as part of a team, and are eager to learn and develop the skills and qualifications needed to succeed as a ranger.

Essential Requirements:

• Able to pass a swim competency test; swim 50 meters and tread water for 2 minutes whilst fully clothed
• Able to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and police check
• Certificate of Aboriginality

Desirable Qualities:

Any of the following would be very desirable, but not required.

• Prior experience with any of the role’s responsibilities
• 4WD Certification
• AQF3 Chemical Certification
• Boat Licence or Coxswain Ticket
• Chainsaw Certification
• Drivers Licence
• Firearms Licence
• First Aid Certificate
• White Card
