As our Revegetation coordinator you will:

  • Work closely with your team of Conservation Field Workers to deliver landscape-scale projects in all kinds of weather - You will undertake all tasks alongside your team
  • Provide clear leadership, promoting teamwork, environmental stewardship and work ethic
  • Work with the Ops and Project managers to co-ordinate sites/location and supply of plants for each day’s planting
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles
  • Perform other tasks or projects as necessary

 SKILLS & EXPERIENCE  

  • A strong interest in Conservation and Land Management or Horticulture
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors/staff/volunteers
  • The ability to work without instruction and adhere to a schedule
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership position
  • Ability to take on all assigned tasks and meet deadlines
  • Be physically fit and able to conduct all manual tasks
  • Proactive in showing initiative for innovative results
  • Highly motivated and self-driven
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team
  • Must have valid driver's licence and own vehicle

Highly regarded qualifications, skills and attributes: 

  • Knowledge of Fleurieu Peninsula ecosystems and plant identification, particularly those indigenous to Hindmarsh Island
  • Certification in chemical handling
  • Proficiency with power equipment such as brush cutters and petrol augers
  • Maintenance skills for equipment
  • Towing & 4WD experience
  • Nursery propagation skills and experience
  • The ability to formulate and implement Work Health and Safety procedures
  • Qualifications in Conservation and Land Management

This is a temporary, casual position for the 2026 planting season.

We expect the season to last from May - August, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

Award conditions as per the Gardening and Landscaping Services Award 2020
