About the Role
Cambium Land Management is growing and we are looking for people passionate about resilient landscapes to join our team. Whether you are a seasoned pro, early in your career, or have never picked up a shovel before, we are keen to hear from you.
You will be working across a variety of ecosystems and properties, ranging from native bushland critical for habitat to sprawling acreage farms and high-end residential estates.
Ecological Restoration: Tree planting, assisted natural regeneration, and targeted invasive weed management to restore native habitats.
Premium Maintenance: Precision hedging, expert pruning, acreage slashing, and detailed turf management.
Technical Operations: Operating top-tier machinery including commercial zero-turns, brushcutters, and our Avant 745 Articulated Wheel Loader.
Problem Solving: Identifying ecosystem challenges and implementing long-term solutions, not just quick fixes.
About You
We are looking for passion, curiosity, and capability. We can teach you the technical skills, but we need you to bring the drive.
To succeed here, you need to be:Passionate: You love working outdoors and take pride in creating great results for nature and for our clients.
Safe: This is non-negotiable. You have situational awareness, you respect the machinery and the environment, and you look out for others. We all want to get home in one piece.
Curious: You are eager to learn. Whether it's identifying a new weed species or mastering the Avant loader, you want to know "why" we do things, not just "how."
Reliable: You show up on time and own your successes and mistakes (we all make them).
Qualified (Desirable): A Cert III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management, Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, but absolutely not essential.
Licensed: A valid Driver’s Licence is a must. (White Card, First Aid/Remote First Aid, and Chemical Cert are a big plus).
Why Join Cambium?
Genuine Variety: We aren't a production line. One day you might be precision pruning a high-end estate, the next you're replanting a creek bank or managing a revegetation project. You will build a complete, diverse skillset, not just muscle memory.
Paid Upskilling: Don't have your Cert III in Horticulture or Conservation yet? Never driven a tractor? That’s fine, we’d love to support you through it. We invest in formal qualifications, tickets, and training for the right people.
Ground-Floor Opportunity: We are early in our company journey. You will help build our culture and have a genuine say in how we do things.
Above Award Pay: You bring the ambition and the attitude, and we will match it with competitive remuneration.
The Best Gear: We provide high-quality equipment (Stihl, Avant, etc.) to get the job done right.
Flexibility: We offer an 8 or 9-day fortnight roster. Enjoy a long weekend every second week to recharge.
