About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the Birriliburu People - Martu people whose deep cultural, ecological, and spiritual connection to Country spans more than 40,000 years.
Mungarlu Ngurrarankatja Rirraunkaja (Aboriginal Corporation) RNTBC (MNR) was established to hold and manage native title rights and interests in trust on behalf of the Birriliburu People.
We are now seeking a Birriliburu Culture and Heritage Records Officer who will be responsible for collecting, organising and safeguarding cultural, heritage and related materials that are essential to the Birriliburu People's legacy and future.
You'll work closely with MNR's Directors, Cultural Heritage Advisor, the Birriliburu community, and service providers.
This position will be based in Perth, with occasional travel to Wiluna. It is a part-time role of 22.5 hours per week, worked flexibly between Monday and Friday during ordinary business hours. Final days and hours will be negotiated based on the preferred candidate's needs and operational requirements. This position is offered as a maximum‑term contract for a period of 6 to 9 months, with the final term to be determined through negotiation.

The salary range offered is between $80,835 to $106,965 per annum [pro-rata] plus superannuation depending on skills and experience. As a not-for-profit, Central Desert offers salary packaging, which can boost your take-home pay by reducing taxable income.
