About the role

An opportunity has become available for a Supervisor with our Bush Regeneration team.

We seek applications from candidates who meet the criteria and can demonstrate skilled experience in regeneration & restoration in bushland reserves and natural areas. You will have the opportunity to work in a small team who are dedicated to providing quality work for both our clients and the environment.

Supervisor - will have supervisory experience & demonstrated leadership skills and ability to organise, direct and motivate staff to achieve maximum performance and quality outcomes.

The position will include (but is not limited to):

• Management of team members & natural area restoration projects within time frames & budgets.
• Daily and weekly work schedules, site logs and WH&S requirements & preparing estimates and maintaining budgets.
• Maintaining and building strong working relationships with clients.
• Hands-on field work.

Skills/ Experience

• Hold a Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management or higher.
• At least 2 years' demonstrated experience as a supervisor in Bushland Management Operations.
• Extensive knowledge of South East Queensland native and exotic plant identification and identification of weeds and weed control methods.
• Experience in conducting detailed site evaluations.
• Demonstrated ability in the correct use and maintenance of a variety of hand tools and field equipment.
• Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills and attention to detail.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety Policies and procedures, risk management practice and principles.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Be physically fit, self-motivated and able to work in a team environment. Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Licences & Certificates Required

• ACDC Licence.
• Chainsaw Certificate (Level 1 min).
• A current manual driver's licence.
• Construction Industry Safety Card (White Card).
• First Aid Certificate (current).
• Be willing to undertake a police check.
