We are seeking a Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator for a contract peroid of up to 2 years, with possible extension.

The Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator will engage and work closely with pastoralists, land managers, producer groups, related community organisations, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies and agencies to facilitate and implement workshops, events, grant programs and activities that promote sustainable farming outcomes that achieve Australian Government objectives for sustainable agriculture and natural resource outcomes.

About the role:

The role will see you working across the diverse South Australian Arid Lands region which covers more that 50% of South Australia. You will be engaging with and building relationships with pastoralists and land mangers along with industry experts, researchers and other partners to grow knowledge of natural resource management practices to support agricultural growth and climate resilience. You will build and support communities of practice to support peer to peer and producer led learning.

You will support the delivery of workshops, field days and on-ground trials to increase knowledge and support landholders taking steps to adopt sustainable natural resource management principals.
