Are you passionate about using your professional skills to support conservation action in Tasmania’s wild places? We are seeking expressions of interest for vacant positions on the Grants Committee.

Wildcare manages the Tasmanian Nature Conservation Fund (TNCF), a Public Gift Fund that accepts donations in support of worthy conservation causes. The Wildcare Tasmania TNCF Grants Committee (Grants Committee) assesses grant applications from members and Wildcare groups to this fund, ensuring that donations are directed where they can have the most significant impact.

As a Grants Committee member, you will:

  • Assess and make decisions on grant applications from Wildcare groups and members
  • Help ensure donor funds are allocated transparently and in line with Wildcare’s purpose
  • Contribute your expertise to strengthen conservation outcomes across Tasmania
  • Collaborate with fellow committee members and the Wildcare team through online meetings (minimum twice per year)

You’ll bring to the role:

  • Knowledge or experience in nature conservation, reserved land management, legal/governance matters, business or industry, or marketing and philanthropy
  • A collaborative approach and sound judgement
  • Commitment to Wildcare’s values of openness, inclusion, and stewardship

Term - 3 years.

Commitment - Minimum of two online meetings per year, plus occasional correspondence.

Remuneration - This is a voluntary role - reasonable travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with Wildcare policies.
