Lead the Southern Ranges Roads and Fire Trail Team implementing vital parks programs including road maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, snow clearing and fire trail compliance.
About the role

The National Parks and Wildlife Service is offering a rare, ongoing opportunity for a passionate Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll champion the conservation and sustainable management of our parks and reserves, while leading a talented group of multi-disciplinary specialists dedicated to excellence in program and project delivery.
As Team Leader - Roads, you'll be at the centre of planning, procuring and implementing vital road and fire trail projects. You'll work alongside consultants, contractors and key stakeholders - including Transport for NSW, Snowy Hydro, TransGrid, the Rural Fire Service and local ski resorts - to deliver safe, effective and innovative solutions. Your leadership will ensure the seamless operation of our extensive road networks, supporting both park operations and the wider community.
From developing detailed project plans and managing budgets, to overseeing risk and quality controls, your expertise will help shape the future of Kosciuszko National Park and National Park estate across the Southern Ranges. You'll also play a key role in administering fire access and trail programs, ensuring robust data systems and timely reporting to keep our environment safe and accessible.
About You
We're looking for a driven project or contract manager with a strong background in roads and infrastructure, who thrives on leading high-performing teams to deliver complex projects. If you're confident managing contracts and translating strategic objectives into practical outcomes, you'll find this role both challenging and rewarding. Your experience in road maintenance and fire trail operations will make you an invaluable asset as we deliver safe, sustainable and compliant projects across the breathtaking terrain of the Southern Ranges.
