We are seeking an experienced and motivated Silviculture Supervisor to lead our tree planting operations for the 2026 season (late April - August).

Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight
- Lead and execute a range of silviculture projects with a strong emphasis on contract tree planting.
- Manage additional operations including brushing, weed control, and site preparation across varied terrain and environmental conditions.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor planting crews in the field, fostering a positive, high-performance work culture.
- Lead by example to ensure planting quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained at all times.
Operational Excellence
- Coordinate day-to-day project logistics, including equipment, transportation, and crew schedules.
- Ensure compliance with silvicultural specifications, WHS protocols, and environmental standards.
- Utilize company technology (tablets, GPS, data collection apps, drones where applicable) to support efficient field management and reporting.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal management.
- Represent the company professionally in the field and provide regular updates on project progress, quality control, and safety compliance.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for increased efficiency, crew productivity, and safety.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and adaptive field management to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Requirements & Skills:
Experience
- Minimum of 1 season in a supervisory role in tree planting operations and;
- At least 3 planting seasons of hands-on experience in Australia.
Technical Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of planting specifications, site classification, crew management, and reforestation best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues and make informed decisions quickly.

Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or related fields are desirable.
Licenses
- Valid driver’s license.
- Occupational First Aid (or higher) preferred.
Work Environment
- Projects are primarily remote field-based operations in bush and plantation environments.
- Work may involve long hours, variable weather conditions, and extended periods away from home.
- Field accommodations are provided for remote projects.
