We are seeking a NRM Officer to join our highly motivated, successful and passionate team delivering NRM projects in partnership with our community across Outback Queensland. You will be responsible for provision of project delivery in Desert Channels Region; including field monitoring, coordinating and managing natural resource (soil, water, pasture and biodiversity) projects, event delivery, community engagement, educational and communication activities and a diverse range of support for program/project staff to meet project deliverables and milestones.

The NRM Officer will partner with community groups and landholders to support the uptake of sustainable land management practices, including land and water management, biodiversity conservation, healthy pastures and soils, and effective climate-smart agriculture and environmental management practices.

The role involves travel across our magnificent landscapes. This is a picturesque, rugged region with tough land management and environmental issues that DCQ is working to improve. You will have the opportunity to contribute to sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation and environmental outcomes.

Salary range $65,000 - $85,000 negotiated with the successful applicant.
