Are you passionate about sea turtles and ready to lead a team of dedicated volunteers in real conservation action? Magnetic Island Network for Turtles Inc. (MINT) is hunting for a hands-on, organised, and energetic MINT Coordinator to steer our turtle care clinic and community programs toward success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading 20+ volunteers with clear, consistent training and support
- Managing daily turtle clinic ops - feeding, rehab, water quality, and releases
- Keeping the clinic shipshape and running smoothly
- Coordinating community education events and volunteer engagement
- Reporting progress, chasing funding, and representing volunteers at committee meetings
- Flexing with shifting priorities and stepping in wherever needed
What we are Looking for in You:
- You have a passion for wildlife rehab
- You need to be able to juggle people, turtles, and admin like a boss
- You need to be a natural leader and team player who communicates clearly
- You need to be highly organised, detail-obsessed, and can handle spreadsheets and reporting with ease.
- You’ve got a can-do attitude with a pinch of humour - tough days come with the job
- Experience with sea turtles, grant applications, or website tools is a plus, but if you don’t know it all, your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will be what matters
- Must have own transport on Magnetic Island?
Why Choose Us:
- Work on one of the most stunning islands while making a tangible conservation impact
- Join a passionate community-led project backed by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation
