Condobolin and District Landcare are currently recruiting for a passionate, motivated Landcare coordinator located at Condobolin, to help drive sustainable land and environmental projects across our districts.

The successful applicant will work closely with Landcare, local landholders, environmental and peri-urban groups, to improve their capacity to support and increase community engagement and effectively participate in natural resource management activities that address critical agricultural and sustainability issues.

The role of the successful applicant is to:

  • Stimulate local community engagement and participation in Landcare.
  • Provide support to groups, networks, Landcarers and landholders to participate in natural resource management activities that address critical agricultural and sustainability issues.
  • Undertake and support planning.
  • Develop partnerships and work to secure resourcing through project grants and other sources.
  • Monitor evaluate and report on activities and outcomes, including Program reporting and Case Studies.
  • Facilitate linkages between Landcare activities/projects, Local Land Services and Landcare NSW.
  • Participate in Central West regional and state Community of Practice.
  • Work independently while working as part of a team both locally and regionally.

Relevant skills, knowledge and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in NRM or Agriculture.
  • Experience or understanding of the communities and farming enterprises in the Condobolin districts.
  • Experience as a volunteer or working with community groups.
  • Experience with project coordination, including grant writing.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The successful applicant must have a Class C Licence and will at times be required to be flexible in their working hours, which will involve some attendance at out-of-hours activities, some travel and overnight stays.

A Current Working with Children's Check will be required to be obtained.
