The South Coast Region extends 1,200 km from Denmark to the South Australian border and includes 14 national parks, 4 marine parks and 150 nature reserves covering 2.5 million hectares plus 7 million hectares of unallocated Crown land (UCL). National parks include Torndirrup, Porongurup, Stirling Range, Fitzgerald River, West Cape Howe, Gull Rock, Waychinicup, Stokes, Cape Le Grand, and Cape Arid.

The South Coast Region’s key service deliverables include nature conservation, parks and visitor services and fire management.

We currently have an opportunity for a Ranger to join our Esperance District team working in the iconic Cape Le Grand National Park.

Under the immediate direction of the Senior Ranger Cape le Grand, you will:

• Carry out programmed operational activities and field logistical support in Cape Le Grand National Park and other national parks and reserves in the Esperance District as required; including maintenance and servicing of facilities, visitor control, and the delivery of conservation programs as directed.
• Assist with fire, feral animal, weed and interpretative programs.
• Collect park fees and participate in other promotional activities for the national parks.
• Implement works programs consistent with departmental guidelines, policies and management plans.
