Goodness Landcare is part of Goodness Enterprises - a social enterprise and charity engaged in delivering traineeships and managing a range of community-based projects including the restoration of Koala habitat at the Chuwar Conservation Corridor.

About the role:

We are looking for a Supervisor to lead a crew of 12 Conservation Trainees as a part of the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) program. This will be a full-time role based at Chuwar and working on two Land for Wildlife properties owned by the organisation.

Renumeration will be in accordance with the Gardening & Landscaping Award rates including applicable allowances depending on experience.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience of working in Conservation / Landscaping / Horticulture.
• Qualifications in Conservation and Ecosystem Management (equivalent certification will be considered).
• Experience in working with people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Experience of training people on the job.
• Be physically fit, self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
• Be proactive and work as a positive team member in a community-based organisation.
• Demonstrated ability in the correct use and maintenance of a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures, risk management practice and principles.

Desirable Skills:

• Sound knowledge of Bush regeneration, plant identification, weed management, revegetation, landscaping.
• Chainsaw level 1 license.
• Current ACDC license.
• Construction White Card.
• Current Driver's license and own vehicle.
