The South Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and capable person to take on a senior regional role as a District Ranger in South Australia. You will live on the western Eyre Peninsula and lead a team working across a stunning and diverse terrestrial and marine environment.

The District Ranger West is responsible for the management of the district’s public land estate, including the network of terrestrial, island and marine parks. The District Ranger leads a capable team of operational and Ranger staff based at three work locations and works closely with Aboriginal Traditional Owners to manage park conservation and heritage values, ensure park facilities and assets are maintained and that visitors enjoy a safe and memorable experience.

The District Ranger is an integral member of the regional management team and works collaboratively with Traditional Owners and other Aboriginal partners to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the District. The role works with other community leaders and key partners to ensure mutually beneficial parks and wildlife management outcomes.
