Are you an experienced park manager keen to work in stunning Northern Territory?
The Chief District Ranger, Darwin Urban Parks will support the District Manager to lead a team of rangers responsible for the management of Darwin region parks, including Casuarina Coastal Reserve, Berry Springs and Howard Springs Nature Parks and Garig Gunak Barlu National Park (Cobourg Peninsula).
The successful applicant will oversee park management, visitor and interpretive programs to protect natural and cultural values, prepare correspondence, report on programs and budgets, and oversee the management of fire, both planned and wildfire.
Excellent communication and team skills are a requirement of this position, including the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including traditional Aboriginal owners, to ensure operational programs are successfully and safely implemented.
We are offering a competitive salary with six weeks paid annual leave and relocation assistance. The position works Monday to Friday. Weekend work may be required to respond to emergencies.
