About the Role
Due to recent growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manger to join our Ecological Restoration team. You will manage multiple and multi-faceted restoration projects from inception to completion, undertaking work across Australia for a range of clients (primarily local and state government).
Ideally the candidate would be based in South-East Queensland and/or Central Queensland, however, we would consider candidates from further afield.
Key project areas may include:
- Delivering large scale revegetation and assisted regeneration projects.
- Implementing restoration plans.
- Managing budgets and subcontractors for longer term restoration projects.
- Identifying and managing project risks including safety, timing and working with a range of stakeholders to complete the project on time.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least five years of experience working in a project manager role or similar.
- Proven experience successfully delivering contracts worth six figures and above in value.
- Thorough understanding of contracts and how to administer them.
- Experience managing subcontractors and maximising the value of their contribution to the project.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and mitigate commercial risk.
- Experience applying project management tools and software such as Excel and MS Project.
- Knowledge on how to apply safety processes and embed a safety-conscious culture within project teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Relationship management skills including ability to establish rapport with project teams, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Good at managing budgets and a proactive approach to monitoring financial health and performance.
- Thrives in problem solving and managing logistically complex projects.
- Takes pride in producing quality deliverables by maintaining robust quality assurance processes.
- Passion for achieving positive outcomes for our environment.
The following would be highly regarded:
- Formal training/qualifications in project management and/or safety.
- Background in an environmental science discipline (i.e. Natural Resource Management, ecological Restoration, Australian flora or fauna ecology, environmental planning, GIS analysis, water or construction/soil science etc.).
- Experience with managing projects in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or exposure to NetSuite.
