Role overview
We are looking for a Senior Heritage Consultant and you will play a key role in delivering heritage assessments, impact statements, and management plans for large-scale renewable energy developments. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients and regulators, and provide expert advice to ensure heritage considerations are integrated into project planning.

Key responsibilities
- Lead heritage assessments for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage developments.
- Conduct Aboriginal and historical heritage assessments, including field surveys, stakeholder consultation, and reporting.
- Prepare Heritage Impact Statements (HIS), Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs), and due diligence assessments.
- Engage with Traditional Owner groups, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice on heritage compliance within the NSW planning and approvals framework.
- Mentor and support junior team members in heritage investigations and reporting.
Qualifications and experience
- Honours or equivalent degree in Archaeology, Heritage Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heritage consulting, with a focus on renewables or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of NSW heritage legislation and approvals processes.
- Demonstrated experience conducting fieldwork and stakeholder consultation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Full Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence.
