Applied research undertaken by the Animal Science Program seeks to understand the factors and processes that are critical for the conservation of Western Australia's rich and unique native fauna.
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist (Dirk Hartog Island National Park Ecological Restoration Project) to join our team.
In this position, you will plan, coordinate and implement research on the fauna reconstruction element of the Dirk Hartog Island National Park Ecological Restoration Project (DHINPERP), including the collection, management and analysis of complex data, preparation of manuscripts for publication and reporting on progress. In addition, you will liaise with other researchers, DHINPERP project staff and Mid-West Regional and Shark Bay/Gascoyne District staff and provide expert advice on research outcomes to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
