We currently have an opportunity for a District Operations Officer - Trails to join our team in the Blackwood District.

Under the general direction from the District Parks and Visitor Services Coordinator, this position:

  • Contributes to, and leads as required, the planning, coordination and implementation of works programs, operations and capital works projects relating to Parks and Visitor Services (PVS).
  • Oversees the planning and management of the district’s trails network, including mountain bike trails and extended overnight trails (Bibbulmun, Cape to Cape and Munda Biddi Trails) and associated community group relationships.
  • Maintains, reports on and oversees the management of the District’s PVS databases including RecData and VISTAT (visitation statistics)
  • Liaises with recreation and community groups, key stakeholders, volunteers, community groups and associated Local Governments on activities relating to recreation and management in the conservation reserve system.
  • Works with the District PVS Coordinator on other PVS initiatives as required and collaborates with the broader PVS team to deliver operational requirements.
