KJ is an innovative and award-winning Martu organisation that operates a variety of land management, cultural and social programs based out of Newman in Western Australia.
We are guided by Martu elders, who are some of the last Pujiman (desert-born people) in Australia with deep cultural and ecological knowledge. Martu are the traditional owners of a large tract of country spanning across three deserts and home to wild populations of some of Australia’s iconic fauna species.
At KJ, we value individuals who are determined to make a difference, willing to work hard, enjoy working within a team and want to work in partnership with Martu as they realise their aspirations to look after Country, families and communities.
We are looking for new ranger coordinators to join and work with one of our men’s ranger teams. If you are interested in working with Martu rangers to look after country and culture and you enjoy working outdoors in remote locations, this may be the job for you.
What you’ll be doing
As a ranger coordinator, you will work with a team of largely male Martu rangers to achieve their aspiration of getting back to and looking after country, passing on knowledge and culture to younger generations, and making Martu communities sustainable for the long term. Your work will include:

Certificates
As the successful candidate will be working with families and across vulnerable communities, so evidence of a current Western Australian Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police clearance will be required within 3 months of appointment.
