Join us at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) as a Program Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in helping advance science programs to address environmental challenges using our high-performance computing and storage infrastructure.
About the role
We are currently seeking to appoint a Program Officer to join our Science High Performance Computing team. The team runs a high-performance computing and storage facility known as Science Data and Compute (SDC) to store, manage, and process large scale data collections. It plays an important role in providing an evidence base to the NSW government for environmental data-driven decision making.
You will be responsible for managing various aspects of planning and execution of a range of activities for the SDC program of work. This includes procurement, strategic planning, comms and outreach along with typical project work and administrative functions. You will work closely with current and future SDC users from the Science division to understand various use cases and work with the technical team to meet their needs.
