Stringybark Ecological are seeking an experienced botanist/ecologist to join our team in Armidale in 2025. We have lots of exciting and interesting projects lined up, covering a diverse range of vegetation communities, flora and fauna. Most of the projects are Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements, but we do the odd BDAR as well. We also have biodiversity surveys, threatened species management and monitoring, carbon revegetation, seed collection and ecological restoration projects on the books for this year.
Role Description
This is a part- or full-time on-site role for a Senior Botanist/Ecologist at Stringybark Ecological in Armidale, NSW. The Senior Botanist/Ecologist will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, surveys, data analysis, and preparing ecological reports. This role requires a high degree of familiarity with plants in northern NSW and the ability to identify unknown plants using dichotomous keys and other tools. You will be in a leadership role in this job.
