The Planning Unit prepares and reviews marine and terrestrial management plans for CALM Act lands; provides advice and support to the Conservation and Parks Commission; provides specialised Geographical Information Systems (GIS) services including data collation, analysis and mapping; and develops relationships with Traditional Owners to facilitate Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) and Joint Management Agreements (JMAs) for jointly managed areas of conservation estate.
