About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Officer, Environmental Planning in the Water Infrastructure and Operations Branch. The role is located at either Adelaide or Mount Barker.

The Project Officer is responsible for the investigation, design, implementation and effective delivery of low flow projects that further Department for Environment and Water's restoration of low flows to support environmental outcomes in the Mount Lofty Ranges. This role is also responsible for assisting in the development of strategic site identification, ecological condition investigations and providing professional support functions that contribute to the achievement of goals and objectives of the Flows for the Future program.

Contract: 

Contract up to 30 June 2026.

Essential Qualifications:

An appropriate degree in Science, Environmental Management or equivalent is essential. 

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • A current class “C" driver's licence, and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is essential.
  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • Intrastate travel including overnight absences may be required. 

Remuneration:

PO2 - $88,255 min - $97,667 max p.a.
