If you have a passion for ornithology and have done avifauna assessments at regional scale this would be highly regarded as part of your role. You will have the opportunity to learn off, and be supported by, other experienced professionals working in the ecology space.
This role could be for you
WolfPeak is looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our small but expanding ecology team located in the heart of Sydney. The role sits within the Biodiversity team and you will report directly to the Biodiversity Practice Lead. You will be working alongside other ecologists at different levels working on projects within the Sydney Basin and across regional NSW. The role will involve regional and possibly interstate travel and will involve (on occasion) multi-day fieldwork leading a small team.

You will ideally have private sector experience with a minimum of 3-6 years in a consultancy -based environment within NSW. You will be competent in completing general flora and fauna surveys required for BDAR assessments and other impact assessments. You will ideally be an accredited BAM assessor or well on the way to being so. Ornithological knowledge would be a distinct advantage. As a dedicated self-starter who is knowledgeable you will be able to grow your career but also be able to pass your knowledge on to others. You will be competent in delivering high quality technical reports to meet client and regulatory requirements at state and commonwealth level.
What do you get?
At WolfPeak you will get to work with a dedicated group of environmental professionals committed to working towards protecting and enhancing biodiversity. You will get to work with a group of individuals that are passionate about the environment but also acknowledge that change is constant. WolfPeak aims to positively engage with clients that are at forefront of building a sustainable future in the renewable energy space and you help clients positively navigate the approvals required to meet their development objectives. You will be well remunerated, with flexibility in working arrangements possible.
